Do you love cookie dough? Or, do you have folks waiting bowl side when you are trying to get cookies in the oven. This recipe for Cookie Dough Bites is egg-free so you can eat all of the raw cookie dough you would like or your diet will allow 😉
This is also a great freezer recipe, so you can make up a batch and portion out those treats a little at a time! I found this recipe in one of my favorite cookbooks that is now on sale for $3.99 (was $16.95!). I have cooked/baked fromGooseberry Patch’sSweet & Simplefor years and we loved these 10 Sweet Treats a while back. But now I am uber- excited because I can have it onmy favoritesmart phoneandtabletto be able to reference all these great recipes in the kitchen AND at the grocery store.
Cookie Dough Bites Recipe with a side of don’t do what I did
Miss Add and Puddie LOVED this recipe. I did too! They also make a fantastic gift. However, I would NOT recommend gifting them the way I did… Last night I bought devotionals as a surprise gift for all the girls in my bible study group… I didn’t have anything for the guys, so I threw in a bag full of these yummy cookie dough bites I had made for the blog…
Everyone loved it and all was well. This morning I start reading the devotion I gifted the night before and suggested we girls should start doing together and I choked on my breakfast.
I was mortified… And quickly sent the girls this message:
Um… so… yeah… Upon closer inspection of the “devotional” book I bought you all, I had no idea it was centered around weight loss… I thought “Craving God” would center around all kinds of things that we make into idols… food, yes… but also money, success, attention, etc. I have read Lysa Terkeurst’s Made to CraveBUT I follow her on facebook and her general scope is much bigger than just food. So I am sitting here reading it… thinking I am going to create us a little group to go through it and then… it hits me… it is all about weight loss… I totally bought my friends a weight loss book?!? AND not only that, I stuffed the gift bags with cookie dough to boot. As someone who has been on a VERY long journey of weight losses and gains, please don’t think for a second that I was trying to say anyone needed to lose weight by my “gift”. I sincerely thought it would be a fun way for us to connect daily… and now I am sitting here with my egg-free cookie dough on my face! I still think the devotion is a good one… but perhaps for folks who know what they are getting into rather than having someone gift it to them… I plan on still going through it. But it will not offend me one bit if you choose not to.
So there you have it… I totally made a fool of myself! Thankfully, these gals are full of grace and quickly relieved my mind with notes full of laughter and telling me they’d still do the devotion with me despite the fact I called them fat. Oh heavens! Love my girls.
Here’s to hoping your Cookie Dough Bites are a little less eventful than mine!

Just have to remember that humor is also one of God’s gifts, and if we can’t laugh at our selves, well then laughing is not quite as fun and light-hearted. Too funny!
